About Strike

Strike was founded in 2016 with the goal of creating a platform for girls to learn sports without the fear of being laughed at. Strike raised a lot of awareness in our community about gender equality and its importance, and we have had participants from secondary to the staff! 

 

Over the past few years, we've had sports ranging from swimming to basketball to rock climbing. In fact, girls who participated in Strike went on to join the school teams! Everyone who has worked with Strike – as a student-teacher or in the team – has played a role in its success. We're so glad that we were able to empower and motivate girls to play sports and so grateful to have played a role in bringing about a change.
